Greta Boldini’s a new concept of easy modern elegance – audacious made in Italy craftmanship and retro allure combine to create timeless pieces.

Greta Boldini is a haute couture brand born in Rome in November 2011 by the creative union of two young designers: Alexander Flagella and Michela Musco. A project that came to life from the desire to create a timeless look, for a strong and modern woman, concealing a retro attitude. A proud and regal woman, yet fragile and nostalgic. Greta Boldini is inspired by the rigorously formal elegance of international diva Greta Garbo, and the parisian Belle Époque portrait by renowned artist Giovanni Boldini. Greta Boldini joins these two worlds together, drawing from their substance and creativity. In 2007, Alexander Flagella and Michela Musco attended the Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence, where they eventually attained their fashion diplomas. Subsequently, their paths diverged. Alexander worked in accessory design and leathers craftmanship both in Italy and abroad, whereas Michela focused on clothing and completed a masters degree, specialising in High Couture Tailoring and Embroidery. Greta Boldini saw the light when Alexander and Michela combined their experiences, their artistic vocations, as well as their passion for beauty, Italian aesthetic and cultural tradition and detailed worksmanship: modernity and tradition, a time-less Made-in-Italy look. An attentive, artisan production inspired by 1950s design. Draperies, pure lines, cohesive glamour and a penchant for leather and all precious materials come together and form the identity of the brand.

Greta Boldini was a finalist at the International competition WHO IS ON NEXT? 2013, created and promoted by VOGUEITALIA and ALTAROMA.

Today Greta Boldini shows its collections at ALTAROMA.
